This happens to be my absolute FAVORITE way of cooking Brussels sprouts! These little sprouts are super good for you and are packed full of vitamin A, C, folic acid, and fiber! Apologies for the blurry picture, it’s meh camera phone.

Golden Browned Brussels Sprouts
Ingredients:
Brussels sprouts (as many as you can eat!)
Olive oil
1 lemon
Sea salt
Pepper
About 1 tbs of brown sugar
To Do:
-Start by cutting a little bit of the ends off, then splitting the sprouts in half hot dog style (not hamburger).
-Use a steamer- or do as I do: put a little bit of water in a pot and when it boils, use a little metal strainer to hold the sprouts, set it over the boiling water and cover with the pan lid. Easy Steaming!
– Steam the brussles for about 5 minutes
– Once they are done steaming, place the brussels, flat side down, in a large frying pan with a thin thin layer of hot olive oil.
-Season them with some pepper, a pinch of sea salt, little bit of lemon juice, and even Italian seasoning if your heart desires.
– The key here is to not turn those little guys until they get all crispy and super browned on one side. It will take a few minutes.
– Once they are super brown, turn each one over using tongs.
– Sprinkle them with some more pepper, salt if you want, and squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the tops.
– When the bottoms are just about done, sprinkle some brown sugar on the flat sides. It should melt in and get all glazed.
– Serve immediately. Yummmm
