I can’t believe Game of Thrones season 6 is coming to an end! If you are big of fans of Game of Thrones like my husband and I are, then you are probably planning a watch party for this Sunday. There’s nothing better than Game of Thrones themed food for a season finale party! I’ve compiled a few of my favorite ideas and recipes here for you, to help you get inspired.
These recipes are quite delicious (especially the lemon cake) but you may not get the references unless you’ve seen the show. Enjoy the finale and good luck waiting a whole year for the next season! :-/
HotPie’s Direwolf Bread
I hope HotPie is having a nice life baking all of the time. It was so sweet when he gave Aria the loaf of bread shaped like a Direwolf as a parting gift. Here’s the bread from the show:
I used my recipe for Irish Soda Bread with Flax Seed to make the bread, but instead of shaping it into a round ball, I gave it legs and a head! The flax bread is really hearty and tastes like something that would be eaten in medieval times. Plus, you can make it fast, and you don’t have to wait for it to proof like yeast bread.
Sansa’s Lemon Cake

Crown for a King Dip
Grab some Velveeta cheese (or regular nacho cheese), a small can of green chili peppers, combine in a slow cooker and heat on low for about 1 hour, stirring every so often. Enjoy the molten cheese with tortilla chips and remind yourself how happy you are that Viserys is gone.

Terrible, but we had to do it. Grill some sausages and there you go. We topped ours with fresh rosemary for extra flavor.
